stabilization

What is the difference between “stabilization” and “analytical_curvature” options in line:
# Shall grain type 1 be stabilized or shall
# an analytical curvature description be applied?
# Options: stabilisation analytical_curvature
Why do you stabelise grains? How do you stabelise the grains with these options?
The description in MICRESS Users manual is not clear:
“it can either be ‘stabilisation’ or analytical_curvature’, the latter being mostly suitable for grains whose radii are smaller than (or of the order of) the grid-spacing, the former takes affects only with grains which are smaller than a grid-cell.”
